Giving At Black Rock

Why We Give

The stewardship of our finances is a tremendous—and often overlooked—area of our lives where we can faithfully proclaim the gospel. Giving strengthens our devotion to Christ and frees us to live open-handedly with the gifts God gives us. We trust in Him and His provision instead of our perceived self-sufficiency. As people of faith, we give faithfully and generously.

Giving cheerfully and sacrificially of our finances is part of our worship. As a church, we want to help you understand and apply God’s principles of handling money. “Stewardship” by definition means “the careful and responsible management of resources entrusted to one’s care.”  In all things we are called to live to glorify God, and one of the primary ways we do this is by cheerfully giving God our “firstfruits” (Proverbs 3:9; 2 Corinthians 9:7). We call our members and attendees to give, not just to obey a set of rules, but to follow the example of our Savior, who sacrificed everything for us, and now calls us to do the same.

Online Giving (Recommended)

The easiest way for you to give is thru the use of our secure either our Realm or Pushpay solutions.   We recommend that you consider setting up recurring giving through Realm or Pushpay.   You can also use both solutions on a desktop, mobile device or through our church app (Download now)

Cash & Checks Giving

Each Sunday at Black Rock we take an offering during all 3 morning services and our evening Sanctuary service.  If you are more comfortable giving through cash or checks during our services we kindly ask that you put your offering in a giving envelope that is provide in the bulletin or mailed to your house.  We encourage you to obtain a giving number by contacting Donna at which will make it easier for our accounting department to record your donation and provide you with a tax deductible receipt at the end of each year.

Giving Envelopes

If you have requested giving envelopes, we will mail them to you every three months and they will include a giving number specific to you that will help with our record keeping. These envelopes allow you to allocate specific giving amounts to our various funds (eg Local, Global, Building). If you don’t already receive giving envelopes please email Donna at and provide us with your mailing address.  Your giving envelopes will be mailed to you at the start of the next quarter.

Please make all checks payable to Black Rock Church. You can mail your checks to our Finance department at the address below:
